Can early lee Enfield rifles be antique? I was reading another post about the antique handgun for bear, and I looked up how old a rifle has to be. Said something about pre 1898, but the language isn't very clear for a smooth brain non lawyer like myself. Mines 1896

with the exception of a repeating firearm fed by any type of cartridge magazine.

Ohhh I guess bolt action is in on that. Whenever I hear "repeating" I assume lever action

Does the Springfield Trapdoor qualify? Seems like it would. A modern reproduction?

I have always thought the Trapdoor would be a beautiful addition to my collection.

I would think, not a lawyer, that an original qualified as it has no magazine, but a reproduction does not as it's not a flintlock or matchlock.
