What part of the handgun is considered restricted? Looking at getting some extra parts before things change and was just curious.

Frame in 98% of handguns. Two exceptions I know of are SiG p320 is the trigger group, and Walther GSP is the "upper"

But wait, there's more.
In New York State it's a prohibited assault weapon because the magazine is in front of the trigger.
