Does anyone have any recent experience in how long past the 28 days after receiving the application things are showing up online? Mines not online yet and I am approaching about six weeks since they received it. Is this normal right now?

I called my MP (member of parliament). They called the CFO. Got it approved next day.

Told them it was ridiculous that a government service is moving this slow.

Might help if your MP is a conservative.

How long did you wait until you called the MP? He is a conservative.

I waited 3 months.

Called them. Said i wasn’t able to get thru and it’s ridiculous Canadians who pay tax and additional licensing money can’t get thru to talk to someone and receive proper government service and I asked that they look into the status of my application.

They’ll send you a form to sign to give them permission to look into it for you.

Took them a week before they got around to my issue. They called me and said my license “was just on the desk and ready for approval”

Next day my online profile changed to “license issued should receive in 2 weeks” or however they word it. Got it in the mail a week later.

Mind you I was also very polite, but made sure to stress that firearms owners do not deserve to basically be forgotten about.
