Not sure about prohib status, but generally speaking 'display' includes more than simply a trigger lock.

If I remember correctly from course;

  • Display rack securely locked to house.
  • Gun securely locked to display rack.
  • Gun locked via trigger or cable lock.

Sorry I don't understand what you mean?

He's looking into the display of a firearm.

OP indicated that he is looking to DISPLAY his Prohibited firearm. In order to DISPLAY said firearm in the room of his choosing he would be required to hit ALL of the steps I indicated above, as per taught by CFSC.

This is non-restricted which is completely irrelevant to the requirements to display a PROHIBITED firearm as stated above.

OK you seem to not be comprehending so this will be my last message.

OP I invite you to read the written rules regarding Display of a Prohibited Firearm. https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/Regulations/SOR-98-209/page-1.html#h-1019977

Do yourself a favor and do not listen to any of the misinformation being provided by Available_Basil4131. Evidently he is incapable mentally of comprehending the difference between storage and display.

Best of luck!!!

Got it! Wall mount is bolted to studs, it’s trigger locked and now I have a incognito cable lock on both sides of it attaching it to said wall mount. And it’s in my room which is locked when I leave. I googled how to display a prohib but I never found the site you linked. Appreciate it!
