I'll be receiving my license shortly (at least it says so on the website) and I'd like some ideas for a first purchase. I'm thinking a .22, but I don't know which one. Also, should I get one with a nice wooden stock or a tacticool chassis? I keep flipping between the two. Thanks!

Hey congrats! My license was just approved last Friday so I'm waiting for it in the mail.

Some suggestions for .22s are; Ruger 10/22 or Savage A22 which are both semi-autos. For bolt action you can go Ruger American .22 or the Savage Mark II

As for the stock, it's completely up to you. I'm not a big fan of the wood look but it all depends on what you prefer.
