PAL update?

Hi y’all, just wondering what kind of timelines you guys have been experiencing for PAL wait time. I sent mine off in mid March, but they didn’t open my application and get me in the system until late june. I got the payment done right after it showed up online (my credit card number had changed since I had sent it in so I had to call and do the payment manually). The payment went through on June 30th, but nothing has changed since, it still says the same old “we have completed the initial review” on the online portal.

I know it takes awhile, but I’m starting to get a bit worried as most people seem to say it goes quickly once the payment is processed but it looks like they haven’t even touched mine in 2 months… Starting to worry that they just automatically add a huge delay if you’re upfront about being treated by a family Dr. for mild depression in the past (figured I should be upfront so it doesn’t look like I’m trying to hide something), but now I’m worried my honesty might be working against me…

Any personal accounts, advice, or discussion appreciated and welcome. Thanks!

I'm in BC, my credit card was charged July 5th and mine has said the same thing since. I answered no to all the questions. Hopefully we can get some kind of updates soon. Good luck

Was that for RPAL or just PAL?

Exact same scenario here, applied in March, charged June 17, nothing yet. In Manitoba. Same mental health box too.

I was upfront about my depression and included a note from my dr saying they were aware I was pursuing my PAL and were comfortable with it.

My app took 4.5 months from mailed to approved (March-Aug) with no reference checks or issues.

It will say “initial review completed” up until it says “issued”. You can call in and they can give you more granular updates but only major updates show online.
