How often does this happen? Was the writing on the application not legible? How long will it take for them to send a new one, because I know they’re pretty backed up.

I’m in Ontario and waiting for mine, so super scared that this will happen and then gotta wait more.

No idea of frequency, but I was told by the officer at the CFP that it happens "all the time." Writing was quite legible; the wife does a lot of legal paperwork for a living. So who knows. Hoping at least hers comes in time to purchase a couple handguns before they're illegal lol. Her and I both love to shoot, but have always just rented guns at the range.

I'm still annoyed in general that mine is still sitting in the state of 'finished initial review." What else is left!?

I don’t understand how it can happen “all the time.” I guess it’s just because they’re super busy, I know there’s a lot of backlog.

I’m still waiting for my credit card to be charged. I guess the timelines are the same more or less for majority of people. How long has your’s been in the initial review?
