What do you seasoned shooters use to transport firearms? I don't need a tacced out rifle bag or anything fancy. I just want something to be able to transport my 2 38in rifles too and from the range on the cheap

I put them in the back seat with seat belts on so I can see that they are comfortable but safe when I drive

Iol I live on an acreage and drive 10 min to a small town range. They are legally transported so that’s all I need.

I use a basic cheap soft gun case for each. I had to go on Amazon to get one that fit my bulpup, it was around 40 or 50 dollars

Don't need anything. My range says if they are uncased just carry them from your vehicle muzzle up. Maybe a nice blanket for the back seat.

Just a cheap soft case from CT or Princess Auto, etc for the rifles that don't have optics. Plano hard case for the rifles with optics.

Can even get 2 in one soft case if you want but I don't recommend that unless you also use gun socks or something.

Oh.. I have optics on my rifles. Is there a reason I go with the hard case? Does it get banged up and lose zero?

Personal preference really. I want to make sure my optics don't get bumped around at all. They're probably fine in a soft case, but I prefer to take the extra precaution.

Cabela's often has badic cases on sale for under $20. I have like 10 I have bought over the years.
