PAL Timeline for Ontario 2022

Mailed: March 21st

Received: March 29th

CC Charged: June 24th

Issued: August 26th

I called the ONCFO today. They told me my application still had to be assigned to an officer. It's been 5 months so I was pretty upset to hear that, I asked her if she could look over it to make sure I didn't miss anything, she scanned it and noticed that I was upgrading from a minors to an adult. As soon as she saw that, she told me she would email an officer right away because it would be easy to approve. We ended the call. I checked the status half an hour later and my license was issued! I was so surprised!!

I can't wait to have my first firearms!

Edit: forgot to mention some bad news. The girl from the CFO told me that average wait times for brand new PAL approvals are 9 months in Ontario. Mine was apparently sped up because I was simply making an upgrade.

Going to be a long year for those of us that just sent in our fresh applications.
