When contacting the provincial CFO for an update, is it better luck asking specific questions like "has my application been assigned to an officer?"

I have emailed a few times and all I get is "we can't give you an expected completion date" and "expect a 9 month delay"

My application was received 25 February and people who had their applications received in March and April (same province) have already had their applications approved !?

I did my pal course like December 18. I don’t understand I know it was a long process but I’m 9 months today and nothing.

I think we're supposed to count from when the application was received not when we do our course haha

Either way the way this is going makes no sense, I don't know why they just don't go in chronological order. If I remember correctly there was a guy waiting since Feb 2021

Just saying it’s wild because like ok you have to take a safety course but 9 months later I don’t have a license…how would you expect someone to remember everything from the safety course that long later with no more firearms interaction

Just says initial review, it's been like that since 20 May

My situation is much the same. Recieved Feb 22nd 2022. Charged May 16th, said initial review was done. I'm from Ontario as well. They keep saying to wait a little bit longer. I sent a new photo May 23rd because my original was "bad" and they've been "processing" my new photo since July 18th. It's been saying initial review since. I think they're delaying my license, just so I can't get a handgun. I did apply for Pal and Rpal.

Basically the same dates then! This is crazy. I don't understand how people who sent their applications after us have already had their licenses issued. Wasn't there a broken printer issue too !? Ihope the guy who's been waiting since Feb 2021 got his issued
