Im applying for PAL and RPAL in section G of the form it asks me if I've done safety training?? and I'm really confused this is the exact question:

''Have you been certified by the Chief Firearms Officer as meeting the safety training requirements or have you successfully completed a
course approved by the Attorney General of Manitoba or Quebec prior to 1995?''

if someone could help please. thank you!

Those are the exemptions to taking the CFSC/CRFSC. Unless either of them apply to you which I assume not since it sounds like this is your first time applying, just answer no and complete Section G - 20 a) & b) as applicable to you.

Firearms Act (S.C. 1995, c. 39)

7 (1) An individual is eligible to hold a licence only if the individual

(a) successfully completes the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, as given by aninstructor who is designated by a chief firearms officer, and passes thetests, as administered by an instructor who is designated by a chieffirearms officer, that form part of that Course

(c) successfully completed, before January 1, 1995, a course that the attorney general of the province in which the course was given had, during the period beginning on January 1, 1993 and ending on December 31, 1994, approved for the purposes of section 106 of the former Act

(2) An individual is eligible to hold a licence authorizing the individual to possess prohibited firearms or restricted firearms only if the individual

(a) successfully completes a restricted firearms safety course that is approved by the federal Minister, as given by an instructor who is designated by a chief firearms officer, and passes any tests, as administered by an instructor who is designated by a chief firearms officer, that form part of that course

(b) passed, before the commencement day, a restricted firearms safety test, as administered by an instructor who is designated by a chief firearms officer, that is approved by the federal Minister

(4) Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to an individual who

(a) in the prescribed circumstances, has been certified by a chief firearms officer as meeting the prescribed criteria relating to the safe handling and use of firearms and the laws relating to firearms
