I'm 16 and an thinking of getting the minors license as it automatically upgrades once I turn 18 to my understanding. I also want to do the RCFSC course but since I need to wait to be 18, I'm wondering if it costs the same to do the non restricted course then do the restricted once I'm old enough. I asked a few people and didn't get a very straight answer, but would it cost more to wait and do the restricted? Someone told me you have to redo the CFSC so you pay more. So basically, if you do the minors license, then wait and do the RCFSC are you paying the same or more vs waiting to be 18, and doing both RCFSC and CFSC. Hope that made sense

The other guy who replied said there isn't a difference. From what you know, why does it cost more? He mentioned some places may offer a discount to take both, would that be it? You don't need to redo the CFSC to do the CRFSC, right?

Okay that makes sense. I assume you mean the application for the PAL, and if I can't get that till I'm 18, wouldn't I only being applying once? Therefor not needing to pay again? Thank you for your help, I think I'll just go for the minors anyway as it sounds like it makes it easier in the future. Plus the whole reason I want a restricted is for handguns, and hopefully they'll still be an option
