3.5 months for Alberta, Ontario may be a bit longer.

Don't want to sound like a downer... But it'll be a few months... I assume when you say they received it, you mean your postal tracking says delivered... But that doesn't mean they really start looking at it... From recent time lines posted below and in previous weekly threads, seems like 2-3 months before it even shows on the web portal which is when they start their review... And probably a month or two after that assuming no problems would be when they'd approve... Then another 2 weeks for actual delivery of the license... By that time, it'll likely parliament will be back from summer recess and they'll have passed their legislation....

I got my application mailed July 23 so hopefully we will have the same timeline. I didn’t mail with tracking though so I am not sure when they received it.

Sorry boss, but you aren't buying a handgun. You're looking at 4-6 months just to get your license. The handgun transfer freeze will be in effect before you get your license.
