Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Just went to my gun clubs restricted safety orientation before they let you just come whenever you want with your handguns, someone there said something about having to keep a piece of paper with your new pal card that on the card says “ has special conditions”…. I do not remember this piece of paper and haven’t carried it obvs…. Do I need it and who should I contact to get a new one

During the PAL course they tell you that you need to carry 3 things. Your PAL card, your registration certificate, and your conditions letter. It is the conditions letter they are talking about. You PAL card came attached to your conditions letter.
