Hey gang. Got my RPAL could years back but I'm finally getting on the restricted train before the freeze makes it too cold to buy a handgun. Only issue is I'm moving from BC back to AB in ~ 3 weeks and I'm worried that gonna push me too far back in the transfer que (if it's not already I bit late). My theoretical out is that a buddy of mine also has his rpal and restricteds at his home. Is it possible to purchase and store at his home but under my name in the interm before I move back? And what differences would thank make in the transfer form /application? Any help would be appreciated, cheers team!

Don’t do that strange friend thing. I’m not 100% sure how moving works, but I would be tempted to update your address now because the Alberta CFO is faster, and doesn’t require a range membership. (You’ll need to let the CFO office know what walk in range you plan to shoot at).
