I’m an RPAL holder but never bothered with owning any restricteds before due to all the regulations on them, it just seemed like a pain in the ass. Well… since it’s become now or never, I’m now awaiting the transfer to go thru for my first restricted.

I’m in BC and the range near my house has a two year waiting list, so I joined the SilverCore gun club since that’s good enough for restricted ownership. So my question is… while I wait for my range membership, can I shoot at walk in ranges, or my buddies range that’s a couple towns over? Or can I only shoot at ranges that I’m a member of?

You are good to go to any range in your province.

You can shoot at any range but some ranges have their own rules about guests
