Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

likely there is some missing info or they got something wrong but never sent out a letter for some reason, give them a call to check.

Yeah I thought so too, I called a few times and they just tell me my application is with the Ontario firearms office and they can't tell me any more information

Mine was reveived in March, cc charged in June, and a recent call suggests that they didn't find some materials that I included in the initial envelope, guy on the telephone apparently went to find it and forward my app yo the ON CFO... I never got a letter though and the web portal just says initial review complete since CC charge. Maybe try sending an email to Ontario CFO?

I sent an email a few days ago to Ontario cfo, no reply! Thanks for the info. Glad your phone call was helpful at least
