I'm going to be in Montana soon on a road trip and was thinking of stocking up on ammunition. But other than finding that there is a 5000 round limit I'm having trouble finding further information on it. Does anyone have personal experience or resources?

I wouldn't be buying or transporting a firearm, as much as I would like to. Ammunition only.

You can’t… the problem isn’t bringing it into Canada, it’s taking it out of the states, it’s prohibited.

That isn't something that I had considered at all. They get all the cool toys.
