Looking for some help as I'm having some problems with my 1911.

Took it to the range this weekend, and to my disappointment, it seems to be shooting about 4 inches low at 10m. Can dovetail sights be adjusted for vertical or do I just have to replace them? Or should I not bother and just get the slide drilled for an optic?
