Hey guys does anyone know of any crown land near the GTA area good enough for longrange shooting? I'm not expecting 500m or anything but ideally >= 100m would be great. EESA isn't accepting any members right now so a little heart broken I can't break in my new CTR...

Get the Ihunter app and pay for the subscription! It will show you all crown land, where you can and can't shoot! If you can hunt there you can shoot there, as long as it's safe.

This is not true. The Marlborough forest near Ottawa allows hunting, but not target shooting. It's a total mess figuring out what you're allowed and not allowed to do.

Fair enough! I'm in BC, out here, for the most part if you can hunt you can shoot.

Sorry, knew this part would come off as ambigious. I already have a spot further north (I know there's no crown land south of Barrie) but it isn't a good long range place.

I'd define near as like 2-2.5hr drive from North York?

Prince Edward County and Trenton have crown land you can shoot on. Never personally been, however a few friends do a lot.

EDIT;

Not sure if it has changed or not but a fun fact about Trenton (Quinte West) last time I looked about 7 or 8 years ago they had no bylaws about firearms and it was technically legal to shoot your firearm in town on your own property as long as it did not leave your property lol
