With some luck (or a lot of good luck) you could POSSIBLY get approved by the skin of your teeth and if you call to get your number and expiry to put in an order online. Which at the moment sounds like a daunting task in itself, given some of the other posts here.

In the past month I've seen 2 people mention that they got approved ~4.5 months after the RCMP received their application. If this happens to you this would put your application approval in the ball park of mid October and it's been speculated that the freeze would occur late September to early October at the earliest. So there's a chance but that former point is a pretty big "if" granted the majority of applications I've noticed have been longer. As for the latter point I can't say how accurate it is or how likely there would be delays, there's too many variables for me to be able to comfortably say much.
