Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

For the ones that are waiting for their PAL. Got on the phone with RCMP they are processing Applications from the First week of April.

Ontario here. feb 18th rcv, may 10th CC charge, no update yet. Guess I should call then

I called the RCMP, they said my file is with CFO, then I contacted CFO, they said the file Is still at Miramichi, I just don’t know who to trust LOL. I have the same timeline BTW.

CFO also guaranteed that I will receive my license in two weeks, I don’t know how they can be so sure if they don’t have my file.
