Weekly Newbies & FAQ Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

I'm also pretty interested in gsg's other recreations like their stg clone too, so I guess a bit of a collector as well

Their STG is a ton of fun (and heavy as hell), but if you do get one, be aware that the iron sights are EXTREMELY low to the rifle.

I'm a big guy and I had all kinds of problems getting a good view, but even my more normally sized buddies found it awkward as hell. Your eyeball has to be all but touching the receiver!

Oh and their magazines are also expensive and nearly impossible to find. Hasn't been a problem yet, but FYI.

I got their rail adapter and put a red dot on it - so much easier to use the gun now!
