But afterwards they could be forced to be pinned in so buying it early may not = grandfather but again it’s speculation

Well, as far as I know, they can't track preexisting ownership of magazines, and I plan to do most-all of my shooting in the backcountry, so

"You can't stop me fool!"

I mean depends on if you wanna risk getting caught it’s could be the same risk as holding a mag that’s not pinned in the future. Will police go around checking? No but if a conservation officer or etc checks you’d be in big shit. For now yes your fine and of course depends on what’s in the OIC but is that a risk you wanna take?

Being able to actually track magazines doesn’t matter

I mean, yes. But, eh, at that point then even the standard 22-round magazines will also probably be banned or pinned to 5 rounds as well

Yes but it’s also a smaller hit going from 10rds to 5rds vs 150 to 5rds. Price difference is also probably big
