How long does it take for the registration papers for a restricted to come in the mail these days? Purchased a pistol a few weeks before the panic buying started but haven't gotten anything yet.

entirely dependent on where you live, miramichi prints them out very promptly in my exp, its up to canada post to do its thing, major urban city gets them the fastest, rural area not so much

nah they all get printed in NB, its printed after the national registry from CFP in NB

they are keeping up for the past month or so, however given the shear amount, expect to hear their printers breaking down

I live in a city in BC so I'm surprised I haven't gotten it yet. My last restricted took like 2 weeks to get it IIRC.

canada post got kicked in the butt during covid, now they are extremely fast, touch wood

but ive seen letters watermarked the day before i receive it

is it approved? if it is there is no point in asking them

if its not approved, they are also swamped with transfers and your transfer wont be expedited anyways

It is and I'm in possession of the pistol, I just hope the certificate is not lost in the mail.

oh yea no worry about it, its probably gonna arrive this week

thought possible i have yet to hear anyone nor me having lettermail getting lost in the mailstream
