This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

A friend and I are both going to get our licenses, can we use each other as references? Likewise can a guarantor also be a reference?

Yup, just as long as you aren’t conjugal partners and have known each other for the specified time (3 years I think)

Yeah, my sibling and I did our PAL apps at the same time, referenced for each other. My wife guarantor'd my photo, no issues.
