Is anyone getting through to the CFO for restricted transfers?

I understand that the sheer volumes of transfers is slowing things down immensely, but everytime i try to start a Restricted transfer by calling in for the reference number, it drops the line. How are gun stores managing to get anything done?

Is there a different number we can call or a way to do it all online?

Super frustrating and it feels like the gov is more than happy to make it as slow and painful as possible.

Make sure you read the form. Both the buyer and seller have to sign it before mailing it in don’t fax or email it in. Calling is still much easier I got in first thing Thursday morning and only waited 20 minutes

Ok fair enough the issue is my buddy works at that time and all day till they're closed so i dont wanna hassle him. Can i start the process as the buyer or does he need to start it as the seller?

You can start it as well I think but you would need your buddy’s pal and info. Double check the CFP website pretty sure buyer can initiate too
