Just a side note but… In Edmonton Cabellas and at least one other retailer is refusing handgun consignments as of the last couple days. They are anticipating an order in council and dont want to get left holding the bag. I would imagine this means that most retailers have also halted orders fir restock as well.

I assume that when Prince Justin goes on vacation… if no order in council has been made… they will return to bussiness as usual.

Makes me wonder what buzz is on the Hill though.

It's because it's entirely possible the freeze comes on June 7th, tomorrow. It's entirely up to the committee, if they do nothing, the CPC filibuster, or they debate it won't come tomorrow. However, if they decide to vote on it right away and vote in favour of it, the freeze comes tomorrow.

If Parliament takes its break before it gets voted on then the next time it can pass in October 4th. I would expect that businesses would be willing to get some new stock and take used firearms should this scenario happen.

Thanks for summing that up so nicely. I had the gist but not the nitty gritty.
