This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

In response to this thread, the community was quite positive for a thread to cover these subjects.

Is it safe to buy guns on poly's list, or am i just gonna be wasting money? Thinking about picking up an sks or a rdb.

yes, they put the time and lacklustre energy into making a shopping list for us. We should be thanking them 😂

If the guns get banned, aren't you just stuck with a very expensive paperweight?

The is a risk. But if you want a semi it's on their list or next one to be on their list.

If it gets OICed then ya it becomes a paper weight (that only keeps the papers in your safe in place). In theory there may be a buy back but they won't give you market rate.
