You know what we forgot (at least I'm not seeing it here), the last gun bill banned airsoft. I wonder if they do that again.

I've been thinking about this too. I wouldn't be surprised, but that also has the effect of increasing the amount of people who oppose the bill.

I honestly don't think it matters if the bill is unpopular. The LPC and Bloc are so anti-gun that they would pass anything gun control related, and all that's needed is the LPC and Bloc to pass.

We are just straight up fucked this time.

No but unpopular bills hurt the government's chance at reelection and this government's reputation with Canadians is getting pretty fucking rough.

The last 2 elections alongside with Trudeau's buddy Gerry Butts bragging about how hard they're gaming the system proves that they don't care about general popularity, all they need is to care about uneducated urban/suburban voters with constant wedge-issue bullshit like this.
