I don't know where to begin with this. Conservative values are conservative values, liberal values are liberal values. Things like abortion are almost never going to be condeded on. I honestly don't understand how environment turned into a partisan issue but I'm theorizing it has to do with pipeline construction. Gay marriage and other lgbt issues are also other things I don't necessarily see conservative voters conceding on either. The party has changed, voters not so much.

As far as I'm aware, you're not excluded from getting a PAL if you're trans. I'm not going to derail the conversation any further but I think you're trying to label the major demographic of the gun community as something else. You're making an issue out of something that wasn't really an issue to begin with. The PPC vote splitting is a big factor as to why 2021 was lost. O Toole kept pandering and lost. Voters don't like that.

If the cpc doesn't come around to some degree on social issues and environment, they will never win again.

So your ideal version of the conservatives is to be what the LPC was 10 years ago? Yeah, no.
Another commenter said the CPC are going to be Liberal-lite if they keep following what O'Toole did. The CPC lost even though the months leading up to the election predicted a win. I don't understand this fascination of wanting the CPC to transform into yet another left-wing party.

Because I want them to win and to keep my guns. Abortion, gay marriage and environmental opinions in this country are set in stone, they will never change and people who oppose them are so far in the minority its ironic. The Cpc lost despite leading because of climate change, because of the subset that refused to acknowledge its existence, just fucking pretend for a while then do nothing like every other politician on the planet. Besides those aren't even real left right issues their authoritarian vs libertarian/ North South issues, of which ill always favor more individual freedom, even if I don't agree with it. They couldn't win despite a split left vote. Something needs to change or the new 2 party system will be ndp and libs and well be registering our forks.
