SIU confirms BB gun recovered from scene of Scarborough police shooting

Don't worry though! It'll still be added to the stats as a crime gun and I'm sure this detail will cause the whole incident to get rug-swept real quick

Reddit Canada is having a field day. I’ve been trying to post a link and update people but it’s just going to get buried and we are going to get another wave of bans

It's reddit, stop wasting your time. They won't listen to anything going against the "gun bad restriction good" narrative

most of them were cheering on the fact that a dude with a BB gun got gunned down by police. You can see many such examples in my comment reply history.

So much for all that police protest stuff right?

Well it’s because he was white. They scream bloody murder if the person with the BB Gun was a minority. “The cop should have known it was fake!” “Why didn’t they shoot him in the foot!” It’s just how it goes

Lol I was just about to post this. The number of redditors saying he deserved it has blown my mind. Yet these same people were on the opposite a year or two ago side saying George Floyd didn’t deserve it. It’s identity politics 100%, and ironically they don’t realize they’re just as bad as the people they despise.

I just look forward to seeing the bb/pellet gun he was carrying because I have a sneaking suspicion it might not look like a firearm, because otherwise the media would’ve used terminology like “replica pellet gun.”

That doctor's group is smiling--more padding of their statistics

When I was originally reading this around 4 or 5pm everything sounded fucky. No facts, just weasel words. Turned out they killed a kid (edit actually 27 years old, original reports said teen or early 20s) with a BB gun.

Kid was being dumb and found out real quick you don’t point a faie gun at cops

I didn't see a single report that he pointed it, the news I've read even said there was no indication of an interaction other than the police shooting him. do you have a source that the dead guy pointed it at a cop?

Someone posted a photo of him pointing it. Idk at who, but it’s not a stretch to assume he did the same at police.

I saw someone on this sub post a photo of some guy in a green shirt pointing a gun. I question weather that photo was of the dead guy. The dead guy was described as being on a bicycle and wearing a 3/4 length coat (per the news yesterday). But lets assume it was him, its just as reasonable to assume he was checking out a new scope/BB gun and not pointing it at anyone.

If he was point a BB gun at cops then it was suicide.

The cops went into this making the assumption that it was a real gun and people were in real danger and this guy ended up dead. Everyone on social media was assuming he was a mass shooter. Can we reserve judgment and not make wild assumptions till more facts come out?

The information that he was pacing on front of a school wasn't available to me at the time.

When I got a new scope I wanted to test it out by looking long distances... But I was smart enough not to have it attached to a fire arm at the time.

The more information I get the more it sounds like suicide by cop.
