Well, it's less than 2 weeks away from the CCFR's "National Range Day" and I haven't seen a single newspaper, radio or TV ad about it. I checked the gun range's websites in Winnipeg and I can't see one that even mentions it. Only one gun range about an hour away has an event planned.

I had high hopes for this because the more people that interested in buying a gun, the better for us because the only thing politicians understand are votes.

Is there any mention of the event in any other areas?

this is going to be a failure imo, i too had the same high hopes but i think the message got lost by only being broadcasted within the firearm community echo chamber.

no mention of it in mainstream media or even advertised in the cities nearby. I don't see how we can help turn the tide of public opinion to our side if we don't have those that are uneducated/unsure but interested giving a chance to join/experience it. especially when they hear it will take almost a year to get a license, they will lose interest. but i believe if they had a chance to actually experience it and get the itch/bite they would see it as a worthwhile thing to explore.

Uhh yeah! That's all the CCFR has been doing. There is very little outreach to those that don't shoot. None of my local ranges are doing their National Range Day.

This is why the CCFR will not be getting any more of my money. What a wasted opportunity
