If you were going to buy a Lee Enfield (not sporterized) which one would you want and why? I'm just starting to look into them and not clear on which no./mk is considered best/coolest/whatever

Personally I look for 2 things when looking at surplus.

1: Was it used in a battle or war?

2: Is it in pristine condition?

If it's used in a battle or war, I don't care if it's perfect, the history behind it is good enough for me. But if I find one that is in amazing condition, even if it's not in a war or battle, I would still be interested in it. Basically I just would prefer to not have a poor condition rifle that wasn't used in any war or battle. Also no matter what it has to actually be shootable.
