with my incoming rpal hopefully only a few weeks away I've started to get excited and buy whatever I can that doesn't require my PAL (sights, eyes & ears, snapcaps etc) and just noticed that my astigmatism makes seeing my red dot clearly with my contacts on almost impossible. I read online that holo sights seem to be better for this; I was wondering if anyone with the same problem has any suggestions?

A prism sight or regular scope will work for you. The dot/reticle is etched into the glass so it works with astigmatism. For red dots, see if you can try out a holosun sight. They have a few different reticle options. I have astigmatism and the dot doesn't work well for me but the circle option with a dot in the middle is usable. Some people find sights with green dots work better with astigmatism too.
