Weekly Newbies Thread - Post your questions here for PAL/RPAL application, timelines, CFSC/CFSRC, references & requirements, or general new to firearms ownership -type questions

This thread will be used for the "new"-type questions, PAL/RPAL applications, references, CFSC/CFRSC requirements, storage/transport, or other general "new-to-me" firearms ownership questions.

Going to buy a gun off Gunpost from another province. He'll have to mail it, what's the right way to do it? It's a restricted pistol, so it'll have to go through the CFO and whatnot.

I asked this question a couple threads ago and the gist I got was this.

1: One of you call the CFO/CFP to set up a transfer, and get the transfer number. The other person calls confirming the transfer.

2: Payment happens. From here you have to wait for the transfer to be approved and to receive the paperwork.

3: Once approved the seller will ship the firearm and now its yours.
