So the OPP says "Disobeying a notice" and then "familiarize themselves with the laws". I just searched and I can't find anything online regarding a notice for the area. So unless they were shooting right beside a sign that says no shooting, that's bullshit. Crownland atlas says good to go and your supposed to magically know there is some hidden provincial notice?

I think municipal bylaws could be an additional layer of regulation. But yes, I want to know what rules they broke more than anything.
It’ll be interesting to see if anything ultimately comes from this. Could just be urban Karens and Kens getting their noses out of joint. Same reason so many ranges have such restricted shooting hours.

if it was bracebridge, this is their firearms discharge bylaw: https://bracebridge.civicweb.net/document/27061/

and based on what the opp said about which part of the public lands act they charged them under (section 28-3) that can be found here: https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90p43

hard to interpret what 'law' they were breaking with such vague information provided
