Depends on whether this shotgun is based on an already existing, Non-Restricted/Restricted shotgun receiver. If it's a different receiver/new to the Canadian market and it was manufactured after December 15th, 2023, it would be prohib because the design magazine capacity exceed 5 shells for the type that it was designed for.
Not sure how that's "unenforceable". It's literally in Canadian Law (C-21) and the CFP has to abide by when it comes to what is and is not prohibited firearms. Really stupid law don't get me wrong, but "design capacity" was compelled by law to be considered a relevant factor in a firearms classification.
The rifle takes magazines. Some of those magazines hold only 5 rounds. The fact that there are other magazines that hold more doesn't matter. It's the rifle that is getting the FRT not the magazines.
It literally does matter... On their website, they advertise they come standard with a 10 shell magazine as a config option. That means it's design capacity literally exceeds 5 shells and thus, unless there was a FRT before C-21, means this would be prohib.
