Do not attribute to malice what can be attibuted to good ol' government incompetence.

They probably are just now starting to have the 9 months worth of meetings to discuss changing the date on the website.

The guy making over $100k a year who's sole job it is, to update HTML text on this particular page, is probably on a 6 month paid stress leave from the horrors of having to update the page the last time.

I also attribute a lot of it to pure malice as us gun owners generally live in rural blue ridings - we're a cheap target to buy votes in urban centers. Theyre just malicious AND incompetent!

On this matter, Im glad their incompetent, despite it bleeding tax dollars. Just imagine if they were malicious AND competent and efficient!
