Shitpost / Memes Is this an Anti tank round?
/s (sarcasm on title)
Went to the range with my buddy to try out my fully cleaned SKS and was having a blast with it 10/10.
He wanted to get his rifle ready to get a bear starting sept 1st. So he invites me to take the first shot from his savage 110 in 300wsm. Tells me its a bit strong like the 308win Tikka i have. So i be prepared to shoot it.
HOLY FUCK B'Y !!
Like what on God's green earth is this tf!? Buddy died laughing and i was astonished by the power this cartridge has.
Guys who shoot this, dont knock on my door please. ðŸ˜
Brought it with me as a keepsake and as a goal to master it one day.

If it's really that bad for you, I'd think that there's probably a problem with your posture/grip. The 300 is really relatively tame as far as things go, and it really shouldn't be rocking your world. More like, 'shoulder starts to get a little bit sore after 5 or 6 shots.' If it downright hurts after one shot - well, make sure the gun is shouldered correctly and pulled in firmly to your shoulder, with your cheek weld firm and stable and your face not TOO close to the scope. A single shot should be mostly just loud, you really shouldn't feel any discomfort until your a few shots in.
Could also just be a poor fit. I had a 308 once that was FAR more uncomfortable to shoot than some of my big boomers (and I have some legitimately big ones)
