Shitpost / Memes Is this an Anti tank round?

Post image

/s (sarcasm on title)

Went to the range with my buddy to try out my fully cleaned SKS and was having a blast with it 10/10.

He wanted to get his rifle ready to get a bear starting sept 1st. So he invites me to take the first shot from his savage 110 in 300wsm. Tells me its a bit strong like the 308win Tikka i have. So i be prepared to shoot it.

HOLY FUCK B'Y !!

Like what on God's green earth is this tf!? Buddy died laughing and i was astonished by the power this cartridge has.

Guys who shoot this, dont knock on my door please. ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Brought it with me as a keepsake and as a goal to master it one day.

Hahhahaha that was a good read. No it is not an anti tank round. However Iโ€™ll give it to you that stock design and rifle weight matter more than the chambering up to a point. The savage 110 in the wsms stomps pretty good, and a fast recoil, snappy, not a hard shove but a mean fast punch.

My 450 Ackley (little bigger than a .458 Lott and a fair bit more power than a .458 win mag, to say nothing of the wee .45-70 everyone seems to think is a cannon ๐Ÿคฃ) dishes out some stout recoil, and humbled me recently. Itโ€™s potent but very manageable from standing. But from a bench it is a completely different animal, nothing kicks that hard from standing compared to hunched over a table or prone on the ground.

I shot it a total of 31 times last Friday. This was my shoulder 3 days later ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜. Worth it, I do actually enjoy it, a bit of a masochist and recoil junkie by admission.

My brother you need to go to the HOSPITAL. like walk straight into the surgeons room and say you need a shoulder replacement. Holy fuck thats brutal. Yeah and dont knock on my door, just take what you want, the keys are under the mat. ๐Ÿ’€ /s (sarcasm about hospital part)

I assure you I am fine haha, shoulder is fine, itโ€™s been 8 days and is mostly normal but still kinda yellow bruised. All the blue stuff is cleared up. No pain or soreness whatsoever now.

Iโ€™ve had bruises like that before myself. Worst for me is I have a wrecked rotator cuff from an old injury so if I beat it up too much it takes me a month to get back shooting.

Oh yes that would change things no doubt! Bad Rotator cuffs and detached retinas, two things that donโ€™t play well with elephant guns and 12 gauge single shots.
