Buy recommendations Can you recommend a budget-friendly, high-power firearm? New or used, lever-action or bolt-action

I am looking for a reputable, new or used high-power bolt-action or lever-action firearm. The maximum price I can spend is less than $1,000. Are there any suggestions?

CZ 600 Alpha perhaps, in .308 or 6.5 Creedmoor.

SKS fits the bill in semi-auto if you’re throwing lever-actions in there :)

Naw, I gotta disagree with you on that one. SKS in 7.62X39. That caliber is literally a “intermediate” caliber by definition.

Cz600 Alphas are fantastic rifles for the price. I've got one in 7.62x39 and it somehow shoots surplus steel case amazingly well.
