Just added the longer stock to my Henry mares leg. Went with function over fashion on this one. So much easier to shoot. Doesn’t add too much weight. I can still shoot it one handed.

SBR makes way more sense than mare's leg.

12" is simply the objectively correct length for intermediate cartridges (magnum handgun/intermediate rifle, .30 caliber and over), especially when using sights that do not depend on a long radius for precision.

mares leg type configurations work better for pumps since they dont require upward and downword force needed to run the action. which you can do much easier with it braced against the shoulder.
