Buy recommendations First time gun buyer

Any recommendations for a first gun I have a budget of 1000 dollars and most likely wanting to get a rimfire I been looking at the rock armory tm22.

With a budget like that sks, or a 10/22 . You could buy a bare bones 10/22 and go crazy with the left over money on aftermarket parts

Yes, and no. If he needs a scope, he should keep money for a decent one right away instead of buying a cheap one.
