Buy recommendations Help choosing riflescope

Hi guys!

I've started hunting like 2 years ago and now I've started to do some precision shooting. Nothing professional, just a hobby.

Recently I've scored a Nikon Monarch 7 IL, in 56mm and I have an opportunity to exchange it for a Burris SixX 40mm with a ballistic crosshair.

I know the Burris SixX is for a long time discontinued but the warranty is still there and some people told me the SixX was a real beast.

Same for the Nikon but the fact there is no more warranty bothers me a bit.

Any input to help me to decide?

It'll be used mostly for deer hunting in a tree stand (200-300yards ) and at shooting range for fun and challenge. /// Forgot to add the Nikon is 3x12 and the Burris is 2x12

Thank you all!

You should check out Burris's "international" warranty, because that's what applies to us here in Canada.

Hint: only manufacturer defects, through the place you bought it.

I have no real input to offer on scopes

But

Choosing a product or not because of the warranty is a poor way to buy something. If a company truly makes a quality product, I'll never need their warranty.
