Feets / Collection / My build IWI Carmel 16.5" with faux suppressor

Post image

As titled. It is not as heavy as people thinks.

For reference, I used to run a PEQ15 on a 16.5" Bren 2 and they ran very similarly weight-wise as the PEQ15 was an extra lb on the Bren.

I might take the faux suppressor off after some range test.

Edit: It is about 10.5lb as it stands. I do have a Surefire Scout light on the other side. Without the faux suppressor it is about 9.7lb. I rather suffer additional weight to not see the pencil barrel.

where is the extra pound coming from? the barrel is a pencil right? is it a steel upper or something?

Yup, pencil barrel. The whole barrel assembly weights significantly more than the Bren's bareel assembly.

The handguard is significantly thicker (taller) too.

The metal reinforced polymer adds some weight as well.
