🇨🇿💪😎 vz61 is one of the funniest guns to shoot, i have one for self defense. Not that i would ever plan on using škorpion for self defense but since im not a sport shooter i cant legally own it for anything else but for self defense
Only allowed to own a firearm for self defense, what a wild concept hahaha I really like how Czechia regulates their firearms, its a vastly better system than what we have here at the moment
Well its bit more complicated than that, its due to scorpion being semiautomatic firearm converted from full auto and stupid eu requires all its countries to demand proof of reason to own it, these guns can be legally owned for various reasons but like i have mentioned you need a proof that you are sport shooter. So in cz we got around it by making it a constitutional right to use guns for self defense and thanks to that, authorities cant legally deny you the right to own it or carry it and they are prohibited to anyhow question the validity of that reason, law even says that you cant be denied possesion of a firearm for self defense even if the "self defense" reason is found to be untrue.
Edit: but firearms that were originally manufactured as semiauto can be still owned without any proof of reason and "hobby shooting" is a perfectly valid reason to buy whatever gun, but still self defense is the most popular since its just the easiest thing to say
Seems perfectly reasonable to me, you have an armed population thats well regulated and relatively little gun crime, it's obviously working quite well with your current regulations which is fantastic, I just wish we could implement something similar here
