saw both NR Makasi and this in person the other day, Makasi was the better looking firearm by like 10,000 miles. The Carmel hand guard looked taller in person while the Makasi hand guard shorter in person. My gunsmith didn't seem to think the problems reported with the Makasi were very hard to work on so the choice is easy for me.
I just showed him the review post from the other day, they also had the nr and we’re going over it while I was there. Sorry just a collector that’s about as much as I know.
