My local CT doesn't even record anything for real ammo. Visual pal check and that's it. For guns they go through the verification,  but they follow the letter of the law and nothing more. 

Keep in mind it is my understanding that canadian tire gun sales are separate from CT corporate,  it's up to each individual store owner if and how they participate.

In Ontario it’s a thing that retailers have to log ammo purchases. Something the CFO requires.

I guess CFOs can request this if they want to.  I'm in Alberta.
