Got a smoking deal at my LGS. Smith and Wesson model 1854 in 30-30. About time I added a lever gun to the collection.

Glad to hear. Anything I should be aware of?

Already learned about the safety release pin. Nearly lost that when I did my break down and initial clean. Close call.

havent had a single issue with mine so other than have fun and dont short stroke I got nothing haha

I ended up getting a 2nd 1854 in .357 mag just to shoot .38 spec since 30-30 can add up in cost.

I have always wanted a .357 lever rifle to share ammo with my GP100. Never sure which to buy, haven't actually managed to handle many.
